I’m SO excited that you’ve stumbled on Half-Assed Health Nut!
This site started as a snarky hashtag that I add to my super simple, healthy meals on Facebook and Instagram. See, I LOVE food and I’m passionate about nutrition, but I’m NOT excited about cooking. The less time I can spend shopping, prepping, and actually cooking, the better!
As a certified personal trainer, health coach and a sports nutrition coach, I understand the importance of fueling our bodies with simple, whole foods for weight management, optimal health, and performance. But I’m NOT a chef, and I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen. Luckily, you don’t have to cook all day to feed your family (or just yourself!) delicious, nutritious meals that support your goals of feeling great and staying lean. And I’m here to share all my tips and tricks with you!
Now, I’m not a body builder or a fitness competitor. I don’t have the “perfect” Hollywood body, and that’s not my goal, nor are those my target clients. But I’m a 40ish mom of 3 who stays strong and fit enough to enjoy my family, lift heavy things as needed, and feel confident in a swimsuit. I think that’s what most of us are looking for, and I’ve figured out HOW to do just that. It doesn’t take perfection, it just takes commitment and time.
My goal here at Half-Assed Health Nut is to show you all the shortcuts, tips, tricks and hacks I use to:
-maintain a healthy weight
-feed a family of 5 without using the drive through
-make home cooked meals even when you have a busy family with lots of activities
-keep the kitchen stocked with nutritious food even when you’re on a budget
-spend less time in the kitchen without scrimping on taste or quality
